> The son of a conquering warlord refuses to kill at his initiation. Cast out to his mother's matriarchal people, he and the daughter who will lead them hunt a blade fallen from the sky — the only weapon that can answer his father, and the only thing that will decide whose people survive.

## Synopsis

**I.** Forty centuries before iron was forged, a star fell into the soft ground above a small village. The villagers called it a sky stone and buried it deeper. They did not yet have a word for the metal inside it.

**II.** Generations later, a son named Ka unearths the stone the night his mother dies. What he draws from it is not a tool. It is a blade — straight, thin, cold — older than any people he has ever met. He carries it home through a country that is changing faster than he can.

**III.** Sky Blade is a story about inheritance. About the things a parent leaves behind that you only understand when you can no longer ask them. About the difference between a weapon and a witness.
